6,000 registered bed nights

In March 2020, 6,000 bed nights were recorded in Boden (-44.5 %), of which 5,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 540 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 45 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 42 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 45 percent from last year's March.

1,200 rooms (-31.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (-54.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 19,200 bed nights (-18.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,200 (-2.1 %) for foreigners in Boden, in total 22,500 (-16.2 %) nights.

Total of 2.8 million bed nights (-37.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-33.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 405,000 nights (-54.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Boden out of total bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

2,200 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 41 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 85.8 percent were domestic, and 14.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Boden on average 2.8 nights (-0.13) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.27).
