6,000 registered bed nights

In May 2022, 6,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Boden (-5.9 %), of which 4,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 19 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (460 nights).

1,000 rooms (+17.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,400 rooms (+53.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 32,400 registered bed nights (+52.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,600 (+159.5 %) for foreigners in Boden, in total 39,000 (+64.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Boden out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

2,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.5 percent were domestic, and 18.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Boden on average 2.4 nights (-1.1) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.86).
