Registered bed nights increased 150 percent

In December 2021, 6,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Boden (+150.1 %), of which 4,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 139 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 200 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 150 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (310 nights).

1,700 rooms (+112.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (+98.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 74,800 registered bed nights (+20.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 16,500 (+138.7 %) for foreigners in Boden, in total 91,300 (+32.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Boden out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

2,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 187 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 79.7 percent were domestic, and 20.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Boden on average 2.1 nights (-0.72) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.71).
