Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 12 percent

In September 2019, 7,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Boden (+11.7 %), of which 6,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 720 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 18 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 12 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (166 nights).

820 rooms (-2.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,400 rooms (+25.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 70,000 registered bed nights (+18.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 69,800 (+16.6 %) for foreigners in Boden, in total 140,000 (+17.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 24 percent compared to earlier year. In Boden, length of stay in September was on average 3.8 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-1.3 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Boden on average 4.1 nights (+22.8 %) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+39.1 %).
