Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 19 percent

In November 2019, 7,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Boden (+18.8 %), of which 6,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 580 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 21 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased less than one percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 19 percent from last year's November.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (114 nights).

900 rooms (+40.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,600 rooms (+2.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and November, 82,800 registered bed nights (+19.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 71,100 (+16.2 %) for foreigners in Boden, in total 154,000 (+17.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.6 million registered bed nights (+3.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.9 million nights (+5.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 731,000 nights (-6.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Boden out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 17 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 17 percent compared to earlier year. In Boden, length of stay in November was on average 3.3 nights and in Sweden 1.8 nights (+0.6 %).

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Boden on average 3.4 nights (+22.3 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+37.1 %).

2,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.2 percent were domestic, and 11.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Boden on average 3.4 nights (+0.57) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.22).
