Registered bed nights increased four percent
In March 2023, 33,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Bodø (+4.5 %), of which 29,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 15 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 41 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased four percent from last year's March.
10,500 nights (-0.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 11,500 nights (-12.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 74,800 registered bed nights (+26.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,900 (-2.3 %) for foreigners in Bodø, in total 83,700 (+22.9 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased three percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. In Bodø, length of stay in March was on average 1.9 nights and in Norway 2.0 nights (-6.1 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Bodø on average 2.0 nights (+4.7 %) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-8.0 %).
17,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.4 percent were domestic, and 12.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Bodø on average 2.0 nights (+0.21) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.96).

The airport received a total of 84,100 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals increased 15 percent.
Of local passengers, 1.9 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 98.1 %.
In addition, there were 80,500 passengers departing the airport (+13.3 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 165,000 (+14.2 %).

Registered accommodation sales in March were 20.9 million crowns (-2.2 million).
Registered January-March sales were 50.3 million crowns and they increased 4.9 million crowns from the previous year.
