Registered bed nights increased 106 percent

In February 2022, 22,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Bodø (+106.0 %), of which 20,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 91 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 560 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 106 percent from last year's February.

8,500 nights (+66.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 7,600 nights (+84.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 33,100 registered bed nights (+71.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,400 (+296.1 %) for foreigners in Bodø, in total 36,500 (+81.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.2 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Bodø out of total registered bed nights was 1.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

12,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 121 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.0 percent were domestic, and 12.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Bodø on average 1.9 nights (-0.08) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-0.79).

Registered accommodation sales in February were 13.9 million crowns (+8.1 million).

Registered January-February sales were 22.3 million crowns and they increased 11.3 million euro from the previous year.
