Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 178 percent

In April 2021, 10,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Bodø (+178.1 %), of which 9,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 440 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 200 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased two percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 178 percent from last year's April.

3,700 nights (+423.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,900 nights (+79.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 35,900 registered bed nights (-27.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,800 (-74.2 %) for foreigners in Bodø, in total 37,700 (-32.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 883,000 registered bed nights (+166.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 788,000 nights (+184.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 94,300 nights (+75.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Bodø out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay was 2.2 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Bodø, length of stay in April was on average 2.2 nights and in Norway 2.8 nights (-3.0 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Bodø on average 2.2 nights (+37.6 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (+44.0 %).

4,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 185 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.5 percent were domestic, and 5.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Bodø on average 2.2 nights (+0.13) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-3.4).
