Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 48 percent

In June 2021, 35,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Bodø (+48.3 %), of which 34,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 51 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 14 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 48 percent from last year's June.

18,000 nights (+70.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 8,200 nights (-14.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 85,200 registered bed nights (+18.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,300 (-58.2 %) for foreigners in Bodø, in total 88,500 (+10.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.3 percent

Total of 2.8 million registered bed nights (+18.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.6 million nights (+18.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 143,000 nights (+11.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Bodø out of total registered bed nights was 1.3 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Bodø, length of stay in June was on average 1.6 nights and in Norway 2.2 nights (+6.9 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Bodø on average 1.6 nights (+24.0 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+25.6 %).

21,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 37 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.3 percent were domestic, and 2.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Bodø on average 1.6 nights (+0.14) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.49).
