Registered bed nights increased 53 percent

In January 2022, 14,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Bodø (+53.0 %), of which 13,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 49 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 126 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 53 percent from last year's January.

4,700 nights (+12.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 7,200 nights (+109.1 %) by business visitors.

Total of 1.2 million registered bed nights (+51.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 888,000 nights (+35.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 292,000 nights (+132.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Bodø out of total registered bed nights was 1.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Bodø, length of stay in January was on average 1.9 nights and in Norway 2.3 nights (-17.7 %).

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Bodø on average 1.9 nights and foreigners 1.7 nights .

7,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 67 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.0 percent were domestic, and 9.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Bodø on average 1.9 nights (-0.11) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-1.6).
