Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 19 percent

In February 2020, 7,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Bollnäs (+18.7 %), of which 6,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 990 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 320 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 19 percent from last year's February.

1,400 rooms (+7.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,300 rooms (+22.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 12,400 registered bed nights (+3.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,200 (+434.4 %) for foreigners in Bollnäs, in total 14,600 (+18.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Bollnäs out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 11 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Bollnäs, length of stay in February was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Bollnäs on average 1.5 nights (-1.5 %) and foreigners 9.7 nights (+610.1 %).

4,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.9 percent were domestic, and 2.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Bollnäs on average 1.5 nights (-0.02) and foreigners 9.7 nights (+8.4).
