Registered bed nights increased 47 percent

In September 2021, 20,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Borås (+47.1 %), of which 18,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 45 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 75 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 47 percent from last year's September.

4,800 rooms (+29.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 7,300 rooms (+59.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 145,000 registered bed nights (+21.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,000 (+8.2 %) for foreigners in Borås, in total 158,000 (+20.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borås out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

9,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 28 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.4 percent were domestic, and 9.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borås on average 2.0 nights (+0.25) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.45).
