14,800 registered bed nights

In February 2020, 14,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Borås (-10.0 %), of which 12,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased four percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 30 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 10 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (770 nights).

4,000 rooms (-7.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,600 rooms (-9.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 26,200 registered bed nights (-3.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,900 (-27.6 %) for foreigners in Borås, in total 31,100 (-8.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borås out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased five percent compared to earlier year. In Borås, length of stay in February was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borås on average 1.8 nights (-10.5 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+4.7 %).

7,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased five percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.4 percent were domestic, and 15.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borås on average 1.8 nights (-0.15) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.13).
