6,300 registered bed nights

In April 2020, 6,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Borås (-68.6 %), of which 6,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 310 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 64 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 91 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 69 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (113 nights).

1,100 rooms (-78.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,900 rooms (-69.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 40,800 registered bed nights (-31.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,500 (-51.9 %) for foreigners in Borås, in total 47,300 (-35.5 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased 54 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 54 percent compared to earlier year. In Borås, length of stay in April was on average 3.1 nights and in Sweden 2.5 nights (+16.7 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borås on average 3.1 nights (-0.9 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+3.5 %).

2,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 80 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.7 percent were domestic, and 7.3 percent were from foreign countries.
