Registered bed nights increased 129 percent

In April 2021, 8,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Borgholm (+128.7 %), of which 7,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 250 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 132 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 59 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 129 percent from last year's April.

1,800 rooms (+161.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,000 rooms (+476.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 12,700 registered bed nights (+58.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 580 (-21.2 %) for foreigners in Borgholm, in total 13,300 (+52.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borgholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

3,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 240 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.4 percent were domestic, and 2.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borgholm on average 2.1 nights (-1.0) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-3.9).
