Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased three percent

In June 2019, 140,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Borgholm (+3.0 %), of which 123,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 17,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 18 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's June.

7,400 rooms (+31.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (-29.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 190,000 registered bed nights (-1.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 25,200 (+22.4 %) for foreigners in Borgholm, in total 215,000 (+1.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 2.0 percent

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borgholm out of total registered bed nights was 2.0 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.8 %.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Borgholm, length of stay in June was on average 2.9 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borgholm on average 3.0 nights (+2.2 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+3.4 %).

48,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased five percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.4 percent were domestic, and 13.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borgholm on average 3.0 nights (+0.25) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+0.12).
