Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 13 percent

In March 2021, 2,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Borgholm (+12.8 %), of which 2,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 138 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 14 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 11 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 13 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Poland (76 nights).

490 rooms (+1.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 300 rooms (+173.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 4,800 registered bed nights (+4.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 330 (-43.1 %) for foreigners in Borgholm, in total 5,100 (-0.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borgholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 3.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 43 percent compared to earlier year. In Borgholm, length of stay in March was on average 3.0 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borgholm on average 3.0 nights (-41.7 %) and foreigners 4.1 nights (-41.2 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 98 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.2 percent were domestic, and 3.8 percent were from foreign countries.
