Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased four percent

In April 2022, 8,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Borgholm (+3.7 %), of which 7,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 640 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 155 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased four percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (176 nights).

1,800 rooms (+8.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 800 rooms (-13.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 12,700 registered bed nights (-0.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 950 (+62.7 %) for foreigners in Borgholm, in total 13,700 (+2.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.2 million registered bed nights (+64.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+46.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 791,000 nights (+260.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borgholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased six percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. In Borgholm, length of stay in April was on average 2.3 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-23.8 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borgholm on average 2.3 nights (+2.0 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-32.7 %).

3,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.2 percent were domestic, and 7.8 percent were from foreign countries.
