Registered bed nights increased 174 percent

In December 2021, 19,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Borlänge (+173.5 %), of which 18,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 850 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 185 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 44 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 174 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (340 nights).

4,900 rooms (+164.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,300 rooms (+55.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 202,000 registered bed nights (+14.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,500 (+26.0 %) for foreigners in Borlänge, in total 213,000 (+14.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borlänge out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

11,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 200 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.4 percent were domestic, and 4.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borlänge on average 1.7 nights (-0.11) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-1.4).
