9,600 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 9,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Borlänge (-34.7 %), of which 8,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 34 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 45 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 35 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (162 nights).

2,000 rooms (-46.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,400 rooms (-28.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 155,000 registered bed nights (-23.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,400 (-64.0 %) for foreigners in Borlänge, in total 162,000 (-26.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borlänge out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

5,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 34 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.5 percent were domestic, and 5.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borlänge on average 1.7 nights (-0.08) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.92).
