Registered bed nights increased 59 percent

In May 2022, 15,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Borlänge (+58.5 %), of which 13,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 48 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 260 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 59 percent from last year's May.

3,000 rooms (+31.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 6,800 rooms (+127.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 133,000 registered bed nights (+42.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,300 (+136.1 %) for foreigners in Borlänge, in total 140,000 (+44.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borlänge out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

9,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 97 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.4 percent were domestic, and 8.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borlänge on average 1.6 nights (-0.49) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.68).
