Registered bed nights increased 210 percent

In April 2021, 13,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Borlänge (+207.0 %), of which 12,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 380 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 220 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased nine percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 210 percent from last year's April.

3,200 rooms (+290.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,600 rooms (+33.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 84,800 registered bed nights (-10.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,200 (-37.4 %) for foreigners in Borlänge, in total 87,000 (-11.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borlänge out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

6,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 250 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.6 percent were domestic, and 3.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borlänge on average 2.0 nights (-0.16) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-3.8).
