Paid bed nights

39,100 registered bed nights

In February 2023, 39,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Borlänge (-6.1 %), of which 37,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 29 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's February.

9,700 rooms (+5.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,900 rooms (+27.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 69,500 registered bed nights (-2.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,400 (+33.6 %) for foreigners in Borlänge, in total 72,900 (-1.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borlänge out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (-0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased three percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. In Borlänge, length of stay in February was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borlänge on average 2.0 nights (-0.1 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+18.6 %).

19,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.8 percent were domestic, and 4.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borlänge on average 2.0 nights (+0.06) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.33).
