Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased two percent

In February 2020, 40,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Borlänge (+2.5 %), of which 39,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased three percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's February.

10,300 rooms (+14.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,600 rooms (-4.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 71,700 registered bed nights (+4.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,500 (-18.2 %) for foreigners in Borlänge, in total 74,200 (+3.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borlänge out of total registered bed nights was 0.9 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased 15 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. In Borlänge, length of stay in February was on average 2.6 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borlänge on average 2.6 nights (+4.5 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+17.4 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.2 percent were domestic, and 3.8 percent were from foreign countries.
