Registered bed nights increased 98 percent

In January 2022, 32,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Borlänge (+97.9 %), of which 31,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 95 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 210 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 98 percent from last year's January.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (410 nights).

Total of 2.3 million registered bed nights (+4.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.9 million nights (-4.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 399,000 nights (+105.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borlänge out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (+0.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. In Borlänge, length of stay in January was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-36.1 %).
