Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased seven percent

In February 2023, 21,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Botkyrka (+6.8 %), of which 19,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 11 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased seven percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Lithuania (1,000 nights).

1,300 rooms (-7.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 9,200 rooms (+3.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 37,500 registered bed nights (+2.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,200 (+6.0 %) for foreigners in Botkyrka, in total 39,600 (+2.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Botkyrka out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased 68 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 68 percent compared to earlier year. In Botkyrka, length of stay in February was on average 2.7 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Botkyrka on average 2.6 nights (+83.7 %) and foreigners 15 nights (+43.2 %).

7,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 37 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.8 percent were domestic, and 1.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Botkyrka on average 2.6 nights (+1.0) and foreigners 15 nights (+5.9).
