Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 33 percent

In April 2022, 25,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Botkyrka (+33.4 %), of which 24,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 51 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 33 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Lithuania (820 nights).

1,500 rooms (-45.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 11,200 rooms (+48.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 84,300 registered bed nights (+28.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,100 (+38.9 %) for foreigners in Botkyrka, in total 89,400 (+29.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.2 million registered bed nights (+64.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+46.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 791,000 nights (+260.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Botkyrka out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 3.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. In Botkyrka, length of stay in April was on average 3.0 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-23.8 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Botkyrka on average 3.0 nights (-47.1 %) and foreigners 5.9 nights (-49.0 %).

8,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 37 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.1 percent were domestic, and 2.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Botkyrka on average 3.0 nights (-0.04) and foreigners 5.9 nights (-9.4).
