62,600 bed nights in paid accommodation
Total of 62,600 bed nights (-37.5 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Central Finland in January 2021. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 67 % and non-registered 33 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.

41,800 registered bed nights
Registered bednights in Central Finland in January decreased 42 percent compared to year before. Bednights were recorded in Central Finland in January 2021 41,800, of which for Finns 40,200 and for foreign visitors 1,500. Therefore domestic bed nights decreased 29 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 90 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 42 percent from last year's January.
26,900 nights (-36.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 14,900 nights (-50.3 %) by business visitors.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. In Central Finland, length of stay in January was on average 2.0 nights and in Finland 2.2 nights (+12.1 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Central Finland on average 2.0 nights and foreigners 2.6 nights .
20,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 41 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.1 percent were domestic, and 2.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Central Finland on average 2.0 nights (+0.13) and foreigners 2.6 nights (-0.76).
