In January 2021, 330 bed nights were recorded in Central Karelia (-80.7 %), of which 330 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 180 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 48 percent and foreign bed nights increased six percent. In total, bed nights decreased 81 percent from last year's January.
250 nights (-78.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 80 nights (-85.5 %) by business visitors.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 89 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 100.0 percent were domestic, and 15.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Central Karelia on average 2.6 nights (+1.1) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-1.4).
