7,400 registered bed nights

In January 2019, 7,400 bed nights were recorded in Central Ostrobothnia (-7.7 %), of which 6,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 890 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 10 percent and foreign bed nights increased 13 percent. In total, bed nights decreased eight percent from last year's January.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (185 nights).

2,700 nights (-28.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,700 nights (+11.7 %) by business visitors.

Total of 1.5 million bed nights (+1.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 869,000 nights (+1.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 675,000 nights (+0.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Central Ostrobothnia out of total bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.8 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

4,400 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 92.7 percent were domestic, and 7.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Central Ostrobothnia on average 1.6 nights (+0.04) and foreigners 2.8 nights (+0.16).
