Registered bed nights increased 16 percent
In October 2018, 12,500 bed nights were recorded in Central Ostrobothnia (+16.3 %), of which 11,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 21 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 11 percent. In total, bed nights increased 16 percent from last year's October.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (340 nights).
4,200 nights (-14.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 8,300 nights (+42.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and October, 117,000 bed nights (-2.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,800 (-6.4 %) for foreigners in Central Ostrobothnia, in total 129,000 (-2.7 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

6,000 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 93.7 percent were domestic, and 6.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Central Ostrobothnia on average 2.0 nights (+0.36) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+0.28).
