In May 2020, 4,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Central Ostrobothnia (-58.0 %), of which 4,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 71 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 53 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 95 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 58 percent from last year's May.
1,600 nights (-70.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,200 nights (-47.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 23,500 registered bed nights (-38.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (-51.2 %) for foreigners in Central Ostrobothnia, in total 26,100 (-40.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 24 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 24 percent compared to earlier year. In Central Ostrobothnia, length of stay in May was on average 2.3 nights and in Finland 2.5 nights (+43.7 %).
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Central Ostrobothnia on average 2.3 nights (+6.5 %) and foreigners 5.9 nights (+3.5 %).
2,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 66 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.4 percent were domestic, and 0.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Central Ostrobothnia on average 2.3 nights (+0.53) and foreigners 5.9 nights (+2.5).
