Dalarna County: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered bed nights increased five percent
In August 2019, 466,000 bed nights were recorded in Dalarna County (+4.6 %), of which 373,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 93,700 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased seven percent and foreign bed nights decreased four percent. In total, bed nights increased five percent from last year's August.
Between January and August, 3.6 million bed nights (+1.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 645,000 (-0.3 %) for foreigners in Dalarna County, in total 4.2 million (+0.9 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
