Dalarna County: Tourism in a nutshell

377,000 registered bed nights
In February 2022, 377,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Dalarna County (-34.6 %), of which 311,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 66,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 45 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 440 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 35 percent from last year's February.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (48,900 nights).
79,100 rooms were booked by leisure visitors and 28,700 rooms by business visitors.
Between January and February, 603,000 registered bed nights (-44.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 105,000 (+359.7 %) for foreigners in Dalarna County, in total 708,000 (-36.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
