Registered bed nights increased 68 percent

In November 2021, 170,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Dalarna County (+67.8 %), of which 144,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 25,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 60 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 132 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 68 percent from last year's November.

31,900 rooms (+68.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 30,000 rooms (+71.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and November, 3.9 million registered bed nights (+13.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 222,000 (-33.9 %) for foreigners in Dalarna County, in total 4.1 million (+8.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.7 million registered bed nights (+134.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+133.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 575,000 nights (+145.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Dalarna County out of total registered bed nights was 4.6 % (-1.8 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 4.6 % and foreign bed nights 4.4 %.

Length of stay was 3.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 15 percent compared to earlier year. In Dalarna County, length of stay in November was on average 3.0 nights and in Sweden 1.8 nights (-21.7 %).

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Dalarna County on average 2.7 nights (+2.3 %) and foreigners 6.4 nights (-59.5 %).

57,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 98 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.1 percent were domestic, and 6.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Dalarna County on average 2.7 nights (-0.54) and foreigners 6.4 nights (-3.2).
