Degerfors: Tourism in a nutshell

Registered bed nights increased 36 percent
In May 2022, 2,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Degerfors (+36.2 %), of which 2,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 134 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 38 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 12 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 36 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (50 nights).
113 rooms (+145.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 370 rooms (+59.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 3,800 registered bed nights (+11.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 260 (-57.5 %) for foreigners in Degerfors, in total 4,000 (+0.8 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 117 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.4 percent were domestic, and 8.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Degerfors on average 2.2 nights (-1.0) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-10).
