Registered bed nights increased three percent (February)

In February 2024, 1.7 million registered bed nights were recorded in Denmark (+3.0 %), of which 1.2 million nights were spent by domestic visitors and 494,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased six percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's February.

898,000 nights (+3.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 488,000 nights (+4.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 2.1 million registered bed nights (+2.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 954,000 (+6.1 %) for foreigners in Denmark, in total 3.1 million (+3.5 %) registered nights.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation (February)

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. In Denmark, length of stay in February was on average 2.0 nights (-1.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Denmark on average 2.0 nights (-1.7 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.1 %).

807,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation (February)

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 72.3 percent were domestic, and 27.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Denmark on average 2.0 nights (-0.04) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.03).
