In May 2020, 1.3 million registered bed nights were recorded in Denmark (-59.7 %), of which 1.2 million nights were spent by domestic visitors and 48,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 41 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 96 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 60 percent from last year's May.
196,000 nights (-83.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 119,000 nights (-82.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 4.2 million registered bed nights (-38.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1.2 million (-65.3 %) for foreigners in Denmark, in total 5.4 million (-47.4 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased 85 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 85 percent compared to earlier year. In Denmark, length of stay in May was on average 4.6 nights (+84.6 %).
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Denmark on average 4.6 nights (+20.1 %) and foreigners 3.7 nights (-3.2 %).
280,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 78 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.3 percent were domestic, and 4.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Denmark on average 4.6 nights (+2.0) and foreigners 3.7 nights (+1.4).
