Paid bed nights

2.0 million registered bed nights

In June 2020, 2.0 million registered bed nights were recorded in Denmark (-47.2 %), of which 1.8 million nights were spent by domestic visitors and 271,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 25 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 82 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 47 percent from last year's June.

528,000 nights (-60.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 214,000 nights (-68.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 5.9 million registered bed nights (-34.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1.5 million (-70.3 %) for foreigners in Denmark, in total 7.4 million (-47.3 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased 35 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 35 percent compared to earlier year. In Denmark, length of stay in June was on average 3.4 nights and in Denmark 3.4 nights (+35.1 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Denmark on average 3.4 nights (+22.2 %) and foreigners 3.5 nights (+3.3 %).

590,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 61 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.8 percent were domestic, and 13.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Denmark on average 3.4 nights (+0.69) and foreigners 3.5 nights (+1.2).
