Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased three percent

In September 2018, 3,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Dorotea (+3.1 %), of which 3,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 410 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased five percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 11 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (200 nights).

90 rooms (-80.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 560 rooms (+35.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 29,200 registered bed nights (-7.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,400 (+13.2 %) for foreigners in Dorotea, in total 35,600 (-4.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (-0.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.3 million nights (-1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (+2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Dorotea out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased five percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. In Dorotea, length of stay in September was on average 2.3 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (+0.8 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Dorotea on average 2.4 nights (+7.1 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+1.6 %).

1,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.2 percent were domestic, and 13.8 percent were from foreign countries.
