18,600 registered bed nights

In March 2023, 18,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Drammen Region (-31.0 %), of which 16,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 30 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 39 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 31 percent from last year's March.

6,400 nights (+5.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 6,600 nights (-53.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 39,600 registered bed nights (-11.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,500 (-35.2 %) for foreigners in Drammen Region, in total 46,100 (-15.6 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.8 percent

Total of 2.4 million registered bed nights (+2.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.8 million nights (+0.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 554,000 nights (+9.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Drammen Region out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (-0.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 25 percent compared to earlier year. In Drammen Region, length of stay in March was on average 1.7 nights and in Norway 2.0 nights (-6.1 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Drammen Region on average 1.6 nights (-29.2 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-35.1 %).

11,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.6 percent were domestic, and 11.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Drammen Region on average 1.6 nights (-0.58) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.34).
