Drammen Region: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased eight percent
In August 2022, 40,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Drammen Region (+7.6 %), of which 29,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 11,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased five percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 65 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased eight percent from last year's August.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (2,900 nights).
10,400 nights (+55.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 9,100 nights (-36.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 198,000 registered bed nights (+28.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 52,500 (+123.1 %) for foreigners in Drammen Region, in total 250,000 (+41.0 %) registered nights.

22,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 19 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 69.3 percent were domestic, and 30.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Drammen Region on average 2.0 nights (-0.07) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.57).

Registered accommodation sales in August were 14.9 million crowns (+1.7 million).
Registered January-August sales were 110.3 million crowns and they increased 55.1 million crowns from the previous year.
