Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 153 percent

In April 2022, 26,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Drammen Region (+153.0 %), of which 22,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 138 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 280 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 153 percent from last year's April.

4,800 nights (+270.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 12,200 nights (+139.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 67,000 registered bed nights (+100.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 14,400 (+122.2 %) for foreigners in Drammen Region, in total 81,400 (+104.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.1 percent

Total of 2.4 million registered bed nights (+166.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.9 million nights (+143.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 434,000 nights (+360.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Drammen Region out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 1.0 %.

Length of stay was 2.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 30 percent compared to earlier year. In Drammen Region, length of stay in April was on average 2.1 nights and in Norway 2.1 nights (-24.2 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Drammen Region on average 2.0 nights (-25.3 %) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-53.1 %).

12,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 260 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.4 percent were domestic, and 13.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Drammen Region on average 2.0 nights (-0.79) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-3.6).
