Registered bed nights increased 250 percent

In May 2022, 8,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Eda (+251.7 %), of which 2,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 40 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 640 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 250 percent from last year's May.

770 rooms (+649.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 260 rooms (-41.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 8,100 registered bed nights (+55.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,900 (+231.1 %) for foreigners in Eda, in total 20,900 (+130.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eda out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

4,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 450 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 27.1 percent were domestic, and 72.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eda on average 1.9 nights (-0.64) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-3.1).
