Registered bed nights increased 220 percent

In December 2021, 1,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Eda (+215.9 %), of which 770 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 95 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 570 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 220 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (870 nights).

270 rooms (+556.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 280 rooms (+183.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 20,600 registered bed nights (-31.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 17,700 (+105.6 %) for foreigners in Eda, in total 38,400 (-0.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eda out of total registered bed nights was 0.0 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

690 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 220 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 52.7 percent were domestic, and 47.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eda on average 2.1 nights (-0.12) and foreigners 2.8 nights (-0.9).
