5,800 registered bed nights

In August 2020, 5,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Eda (-70.1 %), of which 2,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 81 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 70 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (2,700 nights).

490 rooms (-62.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 136 rooms (-94.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 27,300 registered bed nights (+22.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,900 (-91.5 %) for foreigners in Eda, in total 34,200 (-66.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.1 million registered bed nights (-31.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.4 million nights (-10.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 615,000 nights (-77.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eda out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay increased 39 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 39 percent compared to earlier year. In Eda, length of stay in August was on average 2.3 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (+6.0 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eda on average 2.4 nights (+51.1 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+17.9 %).

2,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 79 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 44.6 percent were domestic, and 55.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eda on average 2.4 nights (+0.59) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.57).
