Registered bed nights increased 24 percent

In September 2021, 8,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Ekerö (+24.2 %), of which 8,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 520 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 20 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 146 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 24 percent from last year's September.

1,200 rooms (+138.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,700 rooms (+49.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 53,500 registered bed nights were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,500 for foreigners in Ekerö, in total 57,100 registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ekerö out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

7,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 101 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.3 percent were domestic, and 2.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ekerö on average 1.2 nights (-0.81) and foreigners 2.8 nights (+0.36).
