Registered bed nights increased six percent

In September 2022, 9,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Ekerö (+5.7 %), of which 9,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 91 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 83 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased six percent from last year's September.

710 rooms (+66.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,900 rooms (+69.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 65,100 registered bed nights (+21.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 860 (-75.8 %) for foreigners in Ekerö, in total 65,900 (+15.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 4.6 million registered bed nights (+13.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.6 million nights (+8.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 980,000 nights (+35.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ekerö out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

5,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.5 percent were domestic, and 0.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ekerö on average 1.7 nights (+0.32) and foreigners 3.5 nights (-12).
