Registered bed nights increased 97 percent

In August 2020, 8,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Ekerö (+97.0 %), of which 7,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 320 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 98 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 78 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 97 percent from last year's August.

830 rooms (+16.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,600 rooms (+5.9 %) by business visitors.

Total of 6.1 million registered bed nights (-31.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.4 million nights (-10.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 615,000 nights (-77.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ekerö out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 36 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 36 percent compared to earlier year. In Ekerö, length of stay in August was on average 2.3 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (+6.0 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ekerö on average 2.3 nights and foreigners 3.6 nights .

3,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 45 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.5 percent were domestic, and 2.5 percent were from foreign countries.
