Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 20 percent

In April 2021, 5,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Ekerö (+20.4 %), of which 5,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 220 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 17 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 310 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 20 percent from last year's April.

260 rooms (+50.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,000 rooms (+25.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 16,500 registered bed nights were recorded for domestic visitors and 730 for foreigners in Ekerö, in total 17,200 registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 219,000 nights (+91.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ekerö out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Ekerö, length of stay in April was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 2.5 nights (+1.3 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ekerö on average 2.0 nights and foreigners 4.6 nights .

2,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 20 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.2 percent were domestic, and 1.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ekerö on average 2.0 nights (-0.03) and foreigners 4.6 nights (+1.3).
