Registered bed nights increased two percent

In May 2021, 4,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Ekerö (+2.0 %), of which 4,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 260 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 100 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from India (31 nights).

330 rooms (-16.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (+14.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 21,200 registered bed nights were recorded for domestic visitors and 990 for foreigners in Ekerö, in total 22,200 registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 3.3 million registered bed nights (+46.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.0 million nights (+44.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 291,000 nights (+65.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ekerö out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

2,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.3 percent were domestic, and 2.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ekerö on average 2.0 nights (+0.0) and foreigners 4.0 nights (+0.0).
