Registered bed nights increased two percent
In May 2021, 4,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Ekerö (+2.0 %), of which 4,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 260 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 100 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from India (31 nights).
330 rooms (-16.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (+14.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 21,200 registered bed nights were recorded for domestic visitors and 990 for foreigners in Ekerö, in total 22,200 registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
