Registered bed nights increased 55 percent

In May 2022, 8,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Eksjö (+55.2 %), of which 7,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,300 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 55 percent from last year's May.

960 rooms (+74.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,700 rooms (+97.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 16,400 registered bed nights (+16.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,100 (+661.6 %) for foreigners in Eksjö, in total 18,500 (+29.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eksjö out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

4,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 77 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.1 percent were domestic, and 15.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eksjö on average 2.0 nights (-0.27) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-1.2).
