Registered bed nights increased 31 percent

In August 2022, 19,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Eksjö (+30.8 %), of which 13,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 93 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 31 percent from last year's August.

2,500 rooms (+120.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,000 rooms (-29.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 61,100 registered bed nights (+14.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 22,700 (+187.0 %) for foreigners in Eksjö, in total 83,800 (+36.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.8 million registered bed nights (+5.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.5 million nights (-4.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.3 million nights (+44.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eksjö out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

10,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 24 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 66.2 percent were domestic, and 33.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eksjö on average 2.0 nights (+0.13) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.01).
