Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased three percent

In September 2019, 6,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Eksjö (+2.6 %), of which 5,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased five percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 89 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's September.

1,100 rooms (+35.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,500 rooms (+1.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 50,700 registered bed nights (-15.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 17,100 (-11.5 %) for foreigners in Eksjö, in total 67,800 (-14.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eksjö out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. In Eksjö, length of stay in September was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-1.3 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eksjö on average 1.8 nights (-9.5 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-1.2 %).

3,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.8 percent were domestic, and 13.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eksjö on average 1.8 nights (-0.16) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.12).
