Registered bed nights increased 65 percent

In May 2021, 1,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Emmaboda (+65.2 %), of which 1,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 96 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 67 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 41 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 65 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (33 nights).

720 rooms (+81.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 410 rooms (+20.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 5,000 registered bed nights (+25.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 590 (+33.2 %) for foreigners in Emmaboda, in total 5,600 (+26.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.3 million registered bed nights (+46.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.0 million nights (+44.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 291,000 nights (+65.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Emmaboda out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 79 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.4 percent were domestic, and 4.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Emmaboda on average 1.8 nights (-0.14) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.52).
