Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 18 percent

In June 2021, 2,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Emmaboda (+17.7 %), of which 2,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 260 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 14 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 82 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 18 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (139 nights).

1,300 rooms (+52.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 260 rooms (-33.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 7,600 registered bed nights (+21.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 840 (+44.9 %) for foreigners in Emmaboda, in total 8,500 (+23.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.9 million registered bed nights (+34.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.5 million nights (+31.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 455,000 nights (+76.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Emmaboda out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. In Emmaboda, length of stay in June was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-5.5 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Emmaboda on average 1.7 nights (+3.5 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-5.2 %).

1,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 29 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.1 percent were domestic, and 7.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Emmaboda on average 1.7 nights (-0.14) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.85).
