16,900 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 16,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Eskilstuna (-31.2 %), of which 15,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 27 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 65 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 31 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (280 nights).

4,400 rooms (-30.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,600 rooms (-24.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 172,000 registered bed nights (-30.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,700 (-56.0 %) for foreigners in Eskilstuna, in total 185,000 (-33.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eskilstuna out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

9,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 29 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.5 percent were domestic, and 5.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eskilstuna on average 1.7 nights (-0.04) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+0.01).
