12,100 registered bed nights

In March 2020, 12,100 bed nights were recorded in Eskilstuna (-52.9 %), of which 11,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 850 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 52 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 62 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 53 percent from last year's March.

2,600 rooms (-53.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,500 rooms (-42.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 43,300 bed nights (-25.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,800 (-22.6 %) for foreigners in Eskilstuna, in total 48,100 (-25.0 %) nights.

Total of 2.8 million bed nights (-37.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-33.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 405,000 nights (-54.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eskilstuna out of total bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

5,000 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 57 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 93.8 percent were domestic, and 6.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eskilstuna on average 2.4 nights (+0.18) and foreigners 2.8 nights (+0.54).
