Registered bed nights increased 34 percent

In April 2021, 12,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Eskilstuna (+34.4 %), of which 11,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 35 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 18 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 34 percent from last year's April.

4,000 rooms (+145.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,500 rooms (+6.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 37,400 registered bed nights (-27.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,200 (-57.1 %) for foreigners in Eskilstuna, in total 39,700 (-30.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.5 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eskilstuna out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

6,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 70 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.7 percent were domestic, and 4.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eskilstuna on average 1.8 nights (-0.45) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-1.1).
