Registered bed nights increased 49 percent

In May 2022, 33,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Eskilstuna (+49.4 %), of which 31,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 47 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 109 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 49 percent from last year's May.

8,100 rooms (+67.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 8,200 rooms (+130.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 91,400 registered bed nights (+54.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,100 (+150.4 %) for foreigners in Eskilstuna, in total 99,500 (+59.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eskilstuna out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

20,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 82 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.5 percent were domestic, and 5.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eskilstuna on average 1.7 nights (-0.4) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+0.16).
