Registered bed nights increased 29 percent

In September 2021, 21,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Eskilstuna (+29.4 %), of which 19,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 25 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 102 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 29 percent from last year's September.

5,100 rooms (+14.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 7,700 rooms (+36.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 197,000 registered bed nights (+14.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,400 (-2.3 %) for foreigners in Eskilstuna, in total 210,000 (+13.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eskilstuna out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

13,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 39 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.0 percent were domestic, and 9.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eskilstuna on average 1.6 nights (-0.12) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.2).
