Registered bed nights increased 49 percent
In May 2021, 22,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Eskilstuna (+48.7 %), of which 21,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 990 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 50 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 19 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 49 percent from last year's May.
4,500 rooms (+132.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,400 rooms (+42.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 59,000 registered bed nights (-10.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,200 (-46.7 %) for foreigners in Eskilstuna, in total 62,200 (-13.8 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 73 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.8 percent were domestic, and 5.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eskilstuna on average 2.2 nights (-0.27) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-2.6).
