Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 99 percent

In April 2022, 23,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Eskilstuna (+98.7 %), of which 21,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 88 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 330 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 99 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (700 nights).

5,800 rooms (+48.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,600 rooms (+136.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 59,800 registered bed nights (+59.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,000 (+168.6 %) for foreigners in Eskilstuna, in total 65,800 (+65.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.2 million registered bed nights (+64.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+46.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 791,000 nights (+260.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eskilstuna out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 1.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Eskilstuna, length of stay in April was on average 1.8 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-23.8 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eskilstuna on average 1.8 nights (-6.5 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+30.6 %).

13,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 103 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.7 percent were domestic, and 7.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eskilstuna on average 1.8 nights (-0.07) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.45).
