Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 17 percent

In June 2022, 32,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Eskilstuna (+17.2 %), of which 29,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 13 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 121 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 17 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (570 nights).

7,400 rooms (+46.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,800 rooms (+31.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 121,000 registered bed nights (+41.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,700 (+142.4 %) for foreigners in Eskilstuna, in total 132,000 (+46.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.9 million registered bed nights (+39.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.2 million nights (+17.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+259.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eskilstuna out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 1.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 16 percent compared to earlier year. In Eskilstuna, length of stay in June was on average 1.8 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-13.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eskilstuna on average 1.8 nights (-13.1 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+14.9 %).

17,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 40 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.4 percent were domestic, and 8.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eskilstuna on average 1.8 nights (-0.37) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.08).
