Fagersta: Tourism in a nutshell

Registered bed nights increased 63 percent
In May 2022, 2,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Fagersta (+63.4 %), of which 1,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 64 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 61 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 63 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United Kingdom (134 nights).
650 rooms (+20.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 660 rooms (-2.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 6,900 registered bed nights (+59.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 520 (-20.8 %) for foreigners in Fagersta, in total 7,400 (+49.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 107 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.7 percent were domestic, and 10.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Fagersta on average 2.2 nights (-0.44) and foreigners 3.0 nights (-3.8).
