Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 58 percent

In May 2021, 1,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Fagersta (+58.1 %), of which 1,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 190 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 40 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 630 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 58 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (112 nights).

540 rooms (+439.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 670 rooms (+11.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 4,300 registered bed nights (-9.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 650 (+21.8 %) for foreigners in Fagersta, in total 4,900 (-6.0 %) registered nights.

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 35 percent compared to earlier year. In Fagersta, length of stay in May was on average 2.9 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-5.3 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Fagersta on average 2.6 nights (+32.2 %) and foreigners 6.8 nights (+68.4 %).
